Sweet Saturdays kicks off this Saturday at the Garfield Park Conservatory. Sweet Saturdays are held the two Saturdays before Valentine's Day. You can tour the conservatory, learn about which plants are used to create many of our sweets, sample some tasty treats, listen to live music and kids can play in the craft area. The Lurie Garden is setting a romantic mood for lovers this Valentine's Day. See what evenings you can take an illuminated stroll in the garden with your special someone.
On February 12, 2011 the Lurie Garden hosts a seed swap at the Chicago Cultural Center in the 1st Floor Garland Room for gardeners in the Chicagoland area. See here for more information on how to register and how to pack your seeds.
